Berlino: tutta un’altra luce!

Per l’ottavo anno, Berlino si colora con le luci del Festival of Lights e, dal 10 al 21 Ottobre prossimi, regala a residenti e visitatori una veste più brillante di monumenti famosi [English version below].

Concepiti da designer e artisti, utilizzando l’avanguardia della tecnologia sull’illuminazione, le facciate degli edifici diventano delle vere opere d’arte, ciascuno diverso dagli altri e i cui temi cambiano ogni anno, dando l’idea di una metropoli che consolida i successi ed è capace di rielaborali. Così, per dodici ore ogni notte, palazzi e attrattive berlinesi regalano agli spettatori delle emozioni al limite del fanciullesco, senza essere ripetitivi.

Per loro fama, certamente il massimo dell’attrattiva è rappresentato dalla Porta di Brandeburgo, dalla Cattedrale e dalla Fernsehturm, ma la bellezza degli alberi colorati in Unter den Linden proietta dentro una fiaba, come se si fosse finiti in un bosco magico. Nell’edizione 2011 erano di particolare impatto e calamitanti le proiezioni di volti su una grossa maschera posizionata tra i grattacieli di Potsdamer Platz, poco distante dal Sony Center, la cui volta di acciaio era diventata un fiore colorato.

Consultando la mappa del festival si scopre la dislocazione dei giochi di luci e colori in diversi punti della capitale tedesca, anche fuori dalla Mitte, e vederli diventa una bella passeggiata in una galleria d’arte a cielo aperto, seguendo il flusso di persone che si sposta da un luogo all’altro in autonomia, oppure partecipando a uno dei tanti tour organizzati (in bus, barca, bici, roller o semplicemente a piedi) e magari anche a qualche visita nei musei o concerto musicale, in un vero turbinio culturale.

For the eighth year, Berlin is colored by the Festival of Lights and, from 10th to 21st October, gives to residents and visitors a bright dress to famous monuments.
Though by designers and artists, using the cutting edge of technology lighting, building facades become real works of art, each one different from the others, and whose themes change every year, giving the idea of ​​a city that consolidated the success and is able of work it out again. So, for twelve hours per night, buildings and attractions present the emotions as childlike, without being repetitive.
For their fame, the best attractiveness is represented by the Brandenburg Gate, the Cathedral and the Fernsehturm, but the beauty of the colorful trees in Unter den Linden projects in a fairy tale, as to be ended up in a magical forest. In the 2011 edition were particularly striking the projections of faces on a large screen positioned between the skyscrapers of Potsdamer Platz, not far from the Sony Center, whose vault of steel had become a colorful flower.
Referring to the map of the festival you find the location of the lights and colors in different parts of the German capital, even outside the Mitte, and see them become a nice walk in an art gallery in open air, following the flow of people moves from one place to another on their own, or participating in one of the many organized tours (by bus, boat, bike, roller or simply walk) and maybe even a visits to museums or concert, in a real cultural swirl.
